Professor Jennifer Miskec, PhD, Longwood University, USA
Dr. Jennifer M. Miškec is a Professor of English at Longwood University in Virginia, USA, where she teaches several different children’s and young adult literature courses. Miškec’s scholarship largely centers on contemporary American children’s and young adult literature, and she has co-edited two books, The Early Reader in Children’s Literature and Culture: Theorizing Books for Beginning Readers with Annette Wannamaker and Children’s Literature in Place: Surveying the Landscapes of Children’s Culture with Željka Flegar. Miškec was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Zagreb (2019) and a Fulbright Specialist at the University of Osijek (2024).
Professor Dragica Haramija, PhD, University of Maribor, Slovenia
Dragica Haramija, PhD, is a full professor of Slovene literature at the University of Maribor; she lectures children’s and young adult literature at the Faculty of Education and Faculty of Arts. Her basic field of work is children’s and young adult literature (theories of genre and literary history). She is also involved in research on reading literacy and easy-to-read materials (easy reading). She has published 7 monographs, 85 scientific articles and more than 50 chapters in scientific monographs. In 2023, she was awarded the University of Maribor Prize for outstanding success, achievements and merits in scientific research and education.
Assistant Professor Janja Batič, PhD, University of Maribor, Slovenia
Janja Batič, PhD, is an assistant professor for art education at the Faculty of Education at the University of Maribor, Slovenia. She has more than eighteen years of experiences working with future classroom teachers. Since 2019, Janja Batič has been educating future art teachers at the Department of Fine Arts. Her research area includes art education, visual literacy, multimodal literacy and picture books research. She has published 2 monographs, around 30 scientific articles and more than 20 chapters in scientific monographs.
