Duch Święty w zgromadzeniu liturgicznym w świetle Apokalipsy św. Jana
The Holy Spirit in the Liturgical Assembly in the Light of the Book of Revelation
Summary
The Holy Spirit plays a distinctive role in Christian liturgy. This truth is affirmed by the final canonical book of the New Testament, namely the Book of Revelation, in which the liturgical assembly emerges as a community that has been called together (the Church) to listen to the message of the book, described as “the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.” From the very beginning, the presence of the Holy Spirit is clearly manifested in Revelation. In this study, we will examine the place and role of the Holy Spirit in the experience of the listening community.

Mission Does Not Belong to the Church; The Church Belongs to Mission
An Exegetical Observation on Acts 1:8
Summary
The prevailing Christian paradigm, which construes mission as an activity that the Church conceives, organizes, and executes, requires a fundamental theological re-evaluation in light of Acts 1:8. The Lukan text does not posit the Church as the subject who designs mission, but rather transfers the agency of mission from the ecclesial body to the Holy Spirit himself.
Consequently, mission is to be understood not primarily as missio ecclesiae but as missio Spiritus Sancti and, in its ultimate theological horizon, as missio Dei – the Triune God’s own redemptive movement toward creation.
Within this framework, the Holy Spirit is affirmed as the primary initiator, agent, and sustainer of mission; He precedes the Church in every cultural and geographical context. The Church, therefore, cannot be regarded as the creator or proprietor of mission, but as a pneumatologically constituted community called to discern where the Spirit is already at work and to participate obediently in His action.
This represents a decisive paradigm shift from the proposition that “the Church has a mission” to the theological axiom that “Mission has a Church” – called into being as its historical instrument and eschatological witness.
As a result, ecclesial praxis ceases to be understood as an activist expansion of institutional influence and is redefined as participatory witness – to be a witness to the truth, rather than its possessor. The criterion for missional authenticity is thus no longer measured by strategic efficacy but by fidelity, attentiveness, and docility to the guidance of the Spirit, a posture cultivated through prayer, deep listening, and communal discernment.
On a pastoral level, this pneumatological re-centering liberates the Church from the Pelagian burden of having to generate mission from its own resources and re-orients it toward the humble service of joining in with what God is already accomplishing within culture, the city, and the concrete human person.
In conclusion, Acts 1:8 demonstrates that mission is not initiated by the Church’s decision to go, but by the descent of the Spirit, whose empowering presence alone renders the going of the Church possible.

Samarytanka jako wzór ucznia-misjonarza w mocy Ducha Świętego. Interpretacja J 4, 1–42 w ujęciu o. Franciszka Libermanna
The Samaritan Woman as a Model of a Missionary Disciple in the Power of the Holy Spirit: Fr. Francis Libermann’s Interpretation of John 4:1–42
Summary
The aim of this article is to present the Samaritan woman as a model of the missionary disciple empowered by the Holy Spirit, based on the interpretation of John 4:1–42 contained in Fr. Francis Libermann’s Commentaire de l’Évangile de saint Jean. The method employed is a theological and spiritual analysis of selected elements of Libermann’s commentary, taking into account his personal interpretation of the Johannine text and the fundamental insights of his spirituality.
The analysis presents Jesus’ encounter with the Samaritan woman as a dynamic process of the disciple’s formation: from awakening the desire for “living water,” through accepting the truth about oneself, purification, humility, and obedience to the action of grace, to the discovery of true worship “in Spirit and truth” and the undertaking of mission.
The central thesis of the article is that, in Libermann’s understanding, the Samaritan woman is not merely an example of a converted person but becomes an image of the disciple whose personal encounter with Christ, taking place under the action of the Holy Spirit, leads to witness and cooperation in the work of salvation.
The conclusions indicate that the effectiveness of mission depends not primarily on human qualifications or social status, but on openness to grace, humility, and a willingness to allow Christ to act through the disciple. The Samaritan woman thus emerges as a model of the missionary disciple who shares with others the gift of “living water” that she has received, leading them not to herself but to a personal encounter with Christ.

Od wewnętrznego napełnienia do misyjnego wylania (udzielania siȩ). Duch Święty jako źródło apostolstwa w komentarzu o. Franciszka Libermanna J 7, 37–39
From Interior Fullness to Missionary Outpouring: The Holy Spirit as the Source of Apostolate in Fr. Francis Libermann’s Commentary on John 7:37–39
Summary
This study examines the relationship between pneumatology and missiology in the writings of Fr. Francis Libermann (1802–1852), with particular attention to his commentary on the Gospel of John (John 1–12). The analysis focuses on John 7:37–39, where Jesus speaks of “rivers of living water” flowing from within the believer. Libermann interprets this passage as expressing a profound synthesis of the mystical and apostolic dimensions of Christian life. In his understanding, the Holy Spirit first acts as an interior power who satisfies the disciple’s thirst and fills him with his presence; from this interior fullness, the Spirit becomes the dynamic source of missionary activity. True mission, therefore, does not arise from human activism, but from the natural and abundant outpouring of grace into the world. This study seeks to demonstrate how Libermann’s understanding of docility to the Holy Spirit shapes the missionary’s identity as an instrument through whom the power of the divine Spirit is brought to others.
