Gisèle Sapiro is Professor of Sociology at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales and Research director at the CNRS, member of Academia Europeae, silver Medal of the CNRS 2021. Her areas of interest are the sociology of culture, literature, intellectuals, translation, publishing, law, and the epistemology and history of the social and human sciences.

Zrinka Stahuljak is Director of the CMRS Center for Early Global Studies and co-director of the Experimental Critical Theory Program at UCLA, where she holds the appointment of Professor of Comparative Literature and French. She is author of five monographs, co-author of two books, and co-editor of two volumes, in addition to more than thirty research articles, public humanities essays, and translations. Her work has been recognized, among others, with a visiting professorship at the Collège de France (2018), and fellowships from the Guggenheim (2016), Fulbright (2013), and the IAS Princeton (2005-06). In 2020 she was elected to the Croatian Academy of Arts and Sciences. Among her recent books are Les Fixeurs au Moyen Âge: Histoire et littérature connectées (2021; Croatian trans. 2023), Médiéval contemporain: Pour une littérature connectée (2020), Pornographic Archaeology: Medicine, Medievalism, and the Invention of the French Nation (2013; French trans. 2018), and she has just completed Fixers: Agency, Translation, and the Early Global History of Literature (forthcoming UP Chicago, 2023).
Iva Grgić Maroević is Professor of Theory and History of Translation at the Department of Italian Studies of the University of Zadar.
She has translated into Croatian a number of important works from Italian and English literature (including Luigi Pirandello and Virginia Woolf) and has edited a series of volumes dedicated to literary translation.
She is the author of the books Osman and his Doubles. A Study in Translation (2004), The Poetics of Translation. On Croatian Translations of Italian Poetry (2009) and The Politics of Translation. On Croatian Translations of Italian Prose (2017). Her book, co-written with Sanja Roić, Pinocchio and his friends. Collodi, De Amicis, Rodari and Their Croatian Translations is currently in print.
Iva Grgić Maroević was a three-time president of the Association of Croatian Literary Translators.
